My two dogs dug out of our yard. One was found sitting on a street corner downtown. A very kind lady went to great lengths to get him in her car and take him to her vet. The vet found me through the posting on Nashville Pet Finders. He is now a very happy pup. We are still missing his big brother, Romeo, a black husky mix with beautiful blue eyes. He's posted on the lost dog listing. Thanks so much for your help in finding Wimbly!

Jet
We lost our dog Jet today. He had our phone number and info on him so when nobody called all day we became really worried. I added him to your lost list. An hour later someone called and they had found him. We were so thankful. I think your site is fantastic I wish everyone knew about it. We will be sure to spread the word. Thank you.
- Bret Dye
Heidi
Thanks to you guys I got my beloved part of my family returned! Heidi had been missing almost 3 weeks and a lady called me and we were reunited. Somehow she had gotten all the way from Hermitage to Fairview. Whoever invented this site was a wise person. Thanks so much!
- Rhonda McCullen
Beagle
The owners of this sweet beagle we found were directed to Nashville Pet Finders after looking for their dog at the pound. When they checked the website they saw the listing and another happy ending took place!
- John Harwood
Walker
Yesterday, Walker, a golden retriever, was reunited with his human family. Walker had managed to travel at least 8 miles before settling down at my home. He did not have a collar and no one answered my signs posted "FOUND". Two days ago I thought about this website and posted information. Now Walker's a lucky dog thanks to the Nashville Pet Finders website. I'm sure he is happily retrieving lots of sticks for his family. Pet owners - please put identification on your furry friends!

Big Head
Big Head was taken by someone to the Metro Pound. He had lost his collar. The people at the pound checked Nashville Petfinders and called us. Thanks to all who helped find our sweet dog!

Maxey
Last week I noticed a Dalmatian wandering our neighborhood. Saturday morning it showed up at our house. We fed her, played with her. I looked at the lost dogs listed on Nashville Pet Finders and saw that a woman in Hendersonville (about 15 miles from our house) had recently lost her Dalmatian. I e-mailed her. Monday morning she called -- and it happened to be someone I know! She came out immediately to take a look at the dog. The dog recognized her car and went nuts as soon as she drove up. Their reunion brought tears to my eyes. We're not sure how Maxey got to our house. She had been missing for 2 weeks. We suspect she may have been stolen for breeding purposes and then dumped when the thieves realized she has been spayed. Thank you for Nashville Pet Finders!
- Gina Altvater
Thanks for your web site and all your help. If it had not been for your site, and Gina's responsible actions, I doubt that I would have ever seen her again. (You may definitely quote me on that!)
- Mary Charlotte Hall
Friend's Cat
My friend had put their cat on your site and the cat was found. Your site is wonderful!

Nemo
Last Tuesday I found a poodle beside a dumpster close to where I live. The next morning I put a posting on NPF's website and by Thursday evening found the owner. He had squeezed through the fence and gotten lost. If it wasn't for this website Nemo may have never found is way home. Thank you NPF for helping me get this puppy home!

Chauncey
Chauncey has been found! Thanks to Nashville Pet Finders!
After a long grueling 12-hour absence, I got a friendly phone call from a compassionate stranger. 'Donna' lives 1 mile away and had seen Chauncey on Nashville Pet Finders this morning after noticing her in the neighborhood a few hours earlier. She called about the ad and alerted me to her last wherabouts. Having circled that specific area numerous times I finally stopped and asked a young girl if she had seen a black puppy today. Her face lit up and she said 'We have that dog in our house, I'll go get her for you!' Not wanting to get my hopes up I followed her to the door and Chauncey came out, head down, looking a bit sheepish and tired from her long journey. It was a glorious moment. There was, 2 houses away from Donna's. HAD DONNA NOT SEEN THE NASHVILLE PET FINDER AD AND CALLED ME I NEVER WOULD HAVE COMBED THAT AREA OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD SO CAUTIOUSLY. THANK YOU, DONNA, THANK YOU NASHVILLE PET FINDERS, THANK YOU KIND FAMILY WHO TOOK CARE OF MY DOG UNTIL I FOUND HER!
Alyssa
You guys are the greatest. I didn't really think this would work. Someone took my dogs from my car on 3/26 at the South precinct police station. I thought it was hopeless at finding them. But I posted a listing for my dalmation and two days later I got a call from a woman saying she thought she had found my dog. We went and there she was. I still haven't found my other dog but now I know there is hope at finding him too. Alyssa sure does miss him. Thank you for what you are doing.

Gypsy
Many thanks to NPF for helping me reunite a sweet old doggie with her Mom. "Gypsy" is an older Shepherd mix who got lost during a recent storm. A friend saw her on the loose and brought her to me for help. We papered West End with fliers, called the local vets and went to the Human Assoc. Luckily, the first place I posted her was on NPF. Her owner saw her posting several days later and contacted me early one morning. Thirty minutes later they were reunited. A very happy ending for myself, Gypsy the dog (I called her Sweetie Pie) and her Mom! Thank you!!!

My little Maltese wandered away from home on 2/1/04. I looked and looked for him. Walked up and down the street and did not see him. I posted him as lost on 2/2 and got a call the next day from the kind lady who had found him and taken him in. This site is wonderful to have. Thanks!

Moose
So happy to report that Moose, our Boxer, was found yesterday within 1/4 mile of our home! He'd been missing for 9 days! He's bone thin, but so happy to be home. Thank you so much for reuniting us with both Moose and Pete!

Zeus
I'm happy to say that your website worked for me. I had gone to metro dogpound looking for my dog with no success. They gave me a sheet with others places to check. The sheet had Nashville Pet Finders web site on it.
I posted a message about my dog and thevery next day I had results. Someone had found my dog! Thanks again, the web site was a big help!
I rescued a black lab mix from rush-hour traffic at Long Hollow Pike and Caldwell Ln., about 10 miles from my house. I brought him home, pulled up your website and, I still can't believe it, immediately found his owners. They actually lived just down the street from me. What an awesome story!
Kim Forsyth
Pete
Wanted to let you know that we found our black lab/mix named PETE who was lost on 1/22/04. Thanks to your service, someone contacted us within an hour of their finding him. We're glad to have him back! We're still looking, however, for the Boxer named MOOSE who is missing on the same date as well. Hopefully we'll have the same success. Thanks again for helping us get back one of our dear babies!

Midnight
A good friend of mine knew about Nashville Pet Finders from my telling him about it, and it sure came in handy one day when his dog and another puppy were picked up by a delivery man in the pouring rain. The deliveryman took them to Dickson and posted them on the NPF website. When Bill check the website ˆ there they were
Bear
On Dec 24th I placed a FOUND DOG listing on the Nashville Pet Finders website. Then on Sunday 12/28 I logged on to your web site and saw the listing for a LOST DOG named Bear and called the Halls to ask if they found their dog. They hadn’t found him yet because he was with me. Another happy ending!

Louie
Louie and his family survived the fire that burned their house down. The Philadelphia family then had to move to a campground until they could find another place to live. While staying at the campground Louie decides to hitch a ride with another family that had been staying at the campground on the day they were leaving. His family was frantic, they did not know where he had gone. When they finally realized what might have happened they checked the campground's register and found that there were three other families staying at the campground at the same time they were there all three families were from Tennessee!
Louie's family prayed for him faithfully every day, and wouldn't you know it, one day Louie walks into a Murfreesboro church and heads straight down the isle. Ardis, who is a member of that church, took Louie home and put him on the NPF website. Louie's family found out about the NPF website and when they checked the listings there he was. Louie's home is twelve hours away and his family cannot make the trip down here so the wonderful people that volunteer at a Sheltie rescue organization are going to split the driving time of 12 hours just to get Louie back home with his family.
Sparky
Thank you so much! We lost our dog, Sparky, late Saturday night. He is a very small poodle and somehow managed to slip through our fence. We drove through our neighborhood until 2am and then resumed the search at 7am. We hung flyers. We asked everyone we saw. There was no sign of him. Sometime on Sunday I found your website. I posted with great hope. This morning I got the call I had so longed for. A wonderful woman named, Michelle had found our dog! She spotted him wandering in the street quite a distance from our house, was kind enough to pick him up, took him to her office and saw our post on your website. What an incredible woman, an incredible service and an incredible day. My family feels so blessed. Thank you! Without your service we may never have seen our little dog again!
With sincerest gratitude to you and Michele,
Teresa Baker
Buster
We recently adopted a rescued pet. Buster got out of the fence on Saturday. Aug. 2 and we looked for him all weekend and placed fliers all over the neighborhood. First thing Monday morning, I went out to Animal Control to see if he had been picked up, but he wasn't there. A friend sent me an e-mail telling me about your website, and the second "lost" description that I clicked on was Buster! We were so excited to have found him and very thankful to Chuck Bibeau of Nashville, who took very good care of him and knew about your website. This is my son's first dog and he has been so heartbroken all weekend. I can hardly wait to get off work, so that I can tell him we have found Buster. Thank you so much for this service. I will share it with everyone I know!

Thank you, NPF!! We lost our puppy at Shelby Bottoms on Saturday and though we looked for over 7 hours over the next few days, we could not locate him in the brush. I had never heard of your website until yesterday when I placed an ad. Much to our surprise and pleasure, we received a phone call last night from someone who had found our pup. Upon finding him, she immediately went to NPF to look for the owner. Not only do we feel lucky to have our puppy back, but also we feel blessed to be surrounded by people in our area who care.

Maggie
A personal friend of mine called to say that her neighbor had found a dog and didn't know what to do. My friend wanted to know if people really knew enough about Nashville Pet Finders for it to work. I said yes (of course) and so her neighbor placed the dog on the website. Lo and behold, Maggie‚s owner saw the listing on the website and made arrangements to pick her up. Before he could get there Maggie took off again, but ended up coming back to the same house the next day. Maggie gave everyone a good scare, but she was finally reunited (happily) with her owner that day!

Spanky
Someone, who knew the owner, saw the ad that I posted on 7/3 for the Schnauzer I found. They alerted his owner, the owner contacted me and now Spanky is home! Thanks.

I just found my dog through your website! I think what you are doing is great. Through your organization I was able to find my dog and get him back in less than 24 hours! Thanks.

Rusty
Thank you for your service! We have located Rusty after one of your readers saw him at the Wilson County Animal Shelter. Rusty is at the vet for the rest of the day getting checked out. Besides losing a little weight, he looks just fine.

Leila
Ever since my dog, Leila, was lost, we were worried that she may have gotten hurt. So, in order to find our dog as soon as possible, we posted her on your website. A few days later, somebody called and told us that they found a dog who matched our description on your website. We sent them a picture of her, and lo and behold, they had our dog. Without your website, we would not have been reunited with our dog. Thank you!
While trying to find the owner of the toy poodle puppy that she found, Cathie Renken was contacted by two different people saying that they were the owners of the dog. She did not trust them and went with her instinct. She was able to find the dog’s owner shortly thereafter and had this to say, “Thank you for your help. I found the real owner and the dog is back where she belongs. I cannot believe that there are so many dishonest people in the world. Your web site was how I found the true owner…thanks again!!!”
Cathie Renken
We found the owner of the female Rat Terrier that we listed. She belongs to an elderly man who didn‚t have access to a computer; however, his neighbor did. She contacted us, which enabled us to contact him and reunite him with his dog (which is more than just a dog to him)! This is a wonderful service. Thanks so much.
Tracye Keenan
Wonka
If there is a record in speedy reunion, we broke it today. I posted Wonka at 8:30 am and was called at 11:00 am with the words: "I think you found our dog..." I found the female Chow on Elm Hill Pike during rush hour traffic, a family pet of 16 years. She got lost during the bad thunderstorms this week on Tuesday. I'm so happy for her and her humans I still could cry. Thank you www.nashvillepetfinders.com !!! And to everyone else, pick up a lost pet; it could be yours one day!
Claudia Richardson
Sam
I found a Chihuahua wandering on Nolensville Road on May 5th. I picked him up and took him to Grassmere Animal Hospital for safe keeping while I looked for his owner. Thanks to Beth McNeely & Nashville Pet Finders we were able to make a match with a Chihuahua named Sam that was listed as lost on the NPF site. He is now back with his owner. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, BETH, GRASSMERE ANIMAL HOSPITAL, AND NASHVILLE PETFINDERS!

Tucker
On April 21st my seven-month old Schnauzer was taken from my backyard. I put up posters with his picture and checked all the vets and humane associations in the area and could not find him. Six days later I found your web site. There was a listing that fit Tucker's description. I called the phone number immediately and went to their home, which was five miles away. It was Tucker!!! His collar with his name and phone number had been removed so they had no way of contacting me. They had put up fliers in their neighborhood but since we lived so far apart neither one of us saw each other's posters. Thank you so much for developing an organization with a website that can help pet owners find their pets. I never would have found Tucker if the Nashville Pet Finders website had not been available. I also have to thank Renae Ohmstede and her family for being such good people and taking such good care of Tucker on his unfortunate journey.

Skip
Recently someone let our beloved dog Skip out of our yard. He had never been out of the yard before and I knew it would be difficult for him and it was a nightmare for us. I posted Skip on your site and then later had a friend help me add his picture. Within the same day of adding Skip’s picture to the website I received a phone call from a very kind lady who lived a few miles away. She had seen his picture on the website and verified that she indeed had Skip. It seems that Skip had been living on her street for a few days. I owe this kind lady a great deal for taking Skip in, and this site made it possible for her to find us. I will be telling all my friends about Nashville Pet Finders.

Chokko
Nine and a half months ago two of our dogs managed to get by us and out of our front door when my roommate and I returned home from work at 4 in the morning. My mixed breed dog came back home and hour later, but my roommate's cocker spaniel did not. Chokko (often called Cha-cha) was very special because he could tell my roommate when she was going to have a seizure and convince her to lie down with him so she would be safe.
We placed an ad in our weekly paper, drove many miles, walked and bicycled in search of Chokko. We later found out about a couple with a dog that fit Chokko's description. Unfortunately, they had just left for Colorado for two weeks! When they returned we confronted them about the dog and they told us they had dropped him off at a local recreation area 15 miles away. We were heartbroken! We hiked the trails of the park for days, posted more signs, and placed a listing on the Nashville Pet Finders website.
After two months my roommate gave up thinking she would ever see her dog again, but I still kept the listing current on the NPF website without her knowing. One day the phone rang. It was a woman who saw Chokko's listing on the NPF website. It turned out she had found Chokko. He was 60 miles away and headed for the direction of the house we lived at when he was a puppy. If it had not been for the NPF website Chokko might never have found his way home. Thank you all so much and may God bless all of you and everyone out there that helps animals in their time of need.
Precious
Gary and I got our Precious back a few minutes ago - a wonderful couple found her wandering a few blocks from where she disappeared several weeks ago, and have taken such good care of her. The couple's names are Lisa and Donald, and they saw our ad on your website. God Bless you all - Your website truly is a blessing - and so are Lisa and Donald.

Blue (for the second time)
Hi NPF Once Again! You can remove our dog Blue from "lost" for the second time. And again it was through NPF that we were able to locate Blue. This time he wandered a bit too far in his familiar neighborhood. Our subdivision is bordered by Murfreesboro Road, which includes a Sonic. A concerned pet lover worried that Blue would get hit being so close to a major thoroughfare, took him to her vet, Dr. Phillips at Southside Animal Clinic. He, in turn, got in touch with us after reading the posting in NPF. So once again we were reunited with Blue. I guess we will have to start serving him hamburgers!

A New Home for “Chain”
Thank you Nashville Pet Finders! In January my daughter found a dog chained to a telephone pole close to our home on a country road with no food & water. He is a beautiful retriever and now he has a home thanks to you. A man saw my story on your website & came to get him. I know now that “Chain” will have a happy home & be treated good by this family. Thank you again.

Madison
I had just cut back Madison’s hair and removed her collar the night before she got away. The next day the temperatures dropped significantly for the first time this winter and I was frantic to find her. Not only was the guilt of having a lost dog on my mind, I was also starting a new job that day. I searched for her morning and after work – into the late hours of the night. This went on for several days until one day I was looking through the Tennessean when I saw an ad for Nashvillepetfinders.com. I thought to myself, "we'll, I’ll at least give it a try.” So I began looking at the "lost" column. Right at the top of the list was Madison. There was no picture but by description I knew it was her. I contacted the individual with a picture and in fact it was her. That very day I opened the paper to see an article on Madison right on the front page. I couldn't believe it. Turns out she just wandered a block away to the Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance where they discovered her the next day. I was relieved she was found so quickly and by such caring people. I, as well as Madison, am indebted to them for their kindness, as well as to nashvillepetfinders.com for reuniting us. Thank you!

Gopher
I wanted to notify you that Gopher was located shortly after I checked your website. The wonderful woman who rescued him had posted a description of him just the day before on Nashville Pet Finders. Thanks so much for providing such a valuable service. My 9 year-old and 7 year-old children had a happy Christmas with the return of their dog!

Milo
This is the 3rd time that I have used Nashville Petfinders for a dog that I have found and the 2nd time that we have found the owner through your website. Tonight's success story is named Milo and he is a black Pug that belonged to a 12 year-old girl. I only had Milo in our care for about 2 hours when we found his listing on your website. Milo had been missing for 2 days and thanks to Nashville Petfinders, he is back with his loving family!! Thank you so much for this great resource.
I just want to "Thank You So Much" for the QUICK help with the return of our beloved Pug Milo. Milo dug a hole and went under the fence at my sister’s house while my daughter was spending the night with them. Julie my daughter was so very upset over her dog missing. We had ran an add in the paper, no response, then I noticed your add in the paper so I posted Milo's info. on your site and within 2 to 3 hrs. we had a call that the Pug (& Shar-Pei) Rescue in Nashville had our dog. We were able to go and get him right away. Thanks for starting our New Year off to a GREAT one instead of a sad one. Your work is so much appreciated!!!

Blue
It was Halloween night, 10/31/02 when we lost our beloved Blue. He was to stay the weekend with some friends of ours in East Nashville, some 20 miles from our Southeast Suburban neighborhood. Unfortunately, he ran out of their opened gate. No one could stop him or catch him. The weekend went by, and when we returned there was still no sign of Blue. Indeed our house was still and lonely.
My husband searched daily in the east Nashville area. We both went to the Animal Shelter at least twice a week. I happened to call a veterinarian office in East Nashville, hoping maybe that they had seen Blue, but praying they had not cared for him because of an injury. The very cordial technician there informed me of nashvillepetfinders.com. As an "obsessed internet nut", I could not believe I had not heard of this site. I logged on instantly and entered Blue into cyberspace. Another week and a half passed with more trips around East Nashville and to the shelter.
Then on, Tuesday 11/18/02, we received the incredible phone call from a family who thought a stray resembled my online description of Blue. My husband excitedly went to their home and to his relief it was Blue! He even brought the dog to my classroom to give me the news. Of course we are ecstatic to have Blue home. Our friends and family can hardly believe the story. I want to thank nashvillepetfinders.com. and the family that found and cared for Blue until he was returned to us. This is a wonderful service and I will never forget how happy we are to have benefited from it.

Butler
Your website is wonderful. Our two year-old Llasa Apso, Butler, disappeared on 11/09/02. I was absolutely heartbroken--Butler is the first dog I have ever owned. I never knew that losing a pet could be so traumatic. I saw your site in the classifieds and listed him under the lost category. The next day, my husband found him listed under the found category. He was rescued from the middle of a busy street by a very caring lady named Vickie. He was returned to us the very day that we contacted her. My many tears of sadness quickly turned to joy. Thank you for such a beneficial service.

Stanley
Hi there, I listed my cat, Stanley on the site on Oct. 11th. The last time I saw him was on Oct. 7th. Thanks to your service, I got him back today. He was about four miles from home. A wonderful lady, Karla found him, and emailed me after being directed to your site by the Humane Society. Stanley is doing great, and is on house arrest for the moment, which makes him a little cranky.
Thanks so much for this service!

Max
A neighbor about 1-1/2 miles from our house found our dog, Max, by using nashvillepetfinders!
He was returned to us yesterday, Friday, Oct. 11. Thanks very much!

Webster
On August 17th, I picked up a small Chow-Mix out of the middle of Briley Parkway. After having him checked out by my vet, I posted his information on your website. This morning (August 19th), I got a phone call from Webster's very excited Mom! At the advice of the Nashville Humane Society, she had gone to Nashville Petfinders to post his listing. Imagine her surprise when she saw that he was already there!!! I just love Happy Endings!
Wendy Cook
TN Chinese Shar-Pei Rescue
I can't tell you how thrilled we are to have Webster back. I thought with his age and hip problems, the fact that he didn't come home and was not in the neighborhood that he as taken or had died. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the ad that Wendy had placed. Not only did she take him in but took him to the vet for heat exhaustion and kept him happy till I found him. She is an angel in my eyes and I could never thank her enough. It was by chance I found out about the service and within 20 min. I found Webster and was on my way to bring him home. Thank you for your service.
Sincerely,
Alycia Estok

Just wanted to let you know that we found the happy owners of the dog that strayed into our yard. She saw the listing in NPF the day after I posted it. They were so happy to see their dog again, and we were happy to reunite them. Thanks, NPF!

Essex
Essex, a beautiful, 15 year-old Sheltie was recently lost, and his owner Lori Weir was distraught. Not only did Lori feel like she lost her best friend, but Essex is hard of hearing and needed medication for kidney failure. Thanks to Nashville Pet Finders Essex is back home and her is what Lori had to say, You guys are just awesome. I am so thankful he is with me again and that there are organizations like this!
Lady
Our three small children especially missed "Lady," our 10-month-old beagle, when she disappeared last Saturday, April 6th. We checked the pound with no luck. Then I checked the website, not expecting to find anything. But there she was. A very kind young woman had found Lady in the middle of Nolensville Road. Lady came home Monday evening to everyone's delight. I'm very thankful for the woman who took Lady in and cared for her. I'm also very grateful for your website which made this reunion possible.

Tiny
Mrs. Sircar of Madison was praying for a miracle her little Pekinese, appropriately named Tiny, was missing and she was praying that Tiny would return home soon. Her son, Sanjoy, was posting the listing on the NPF website when he noticed a listing in the found column that seemed to fit the description of Tiny. He called the finder, Joe Spears, and sure enough, he had Tiny. Tiny was returned home that evening. Now the Sircar family are true believers that miracles do happen.
Josie
On January 21st, Josie, a sweet cocker spaniel, was found wandering the busy intersection of Haywood Lane and Antioch Pike when Angela Shaffer rescued her from possible harm. Josie had been missing for almost a month and her owner, Peggy, was devastated. Peggy had also recently been the victim of one of the more common scams that is directed at people with lost pets. She was so desperate she gave them her credit card number!
Peggy eventually called Nashville Pet Finders, who informed her of the scam, along with several other ones to be aware of, and instructed her to contact her credit card company right away. Her listing was then placed on the NPF website and a match was made! Josie is now safe and back home with her loving family. Josie now has a second family too. Angela Shaffer and her family took very good care of Josie and grew quite attached to her, so Peggy promised that she would arrange regular visits for Josie and her second family, who live nearby.
Girly
"Thats right, the dog I found was returned to her proper owners on Sunday. Thanks to NPF, the owners were able to make a match and subsequently contact me. I had guessed the dogs name, Girly, correctly which was kind of unusual for a lost dog. Anyway, thank you and NPF for all the help."

Wheatley
"Just wanted to thank you for the service you provide. We lost our SCWT (soft-coated Wheaton Terrier) and were advised to check out your site. We did and we located him!!! Someone had posted it on your site. Thanks very much!!"

Georgie
On July 14, my little Pekinese got out of our fence and ended up in the middle of Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna. If not for the kind and caring actions of Margie and her brother (who actually stopped traffic to rescue my dog) he wouldnt be here today. After six days of looking, posting flyers, placing ads in local papers, and numerous phone calls, I found your website. I had actually given up of finding my dog when, to my surprise, there he was! Thank you so much for having such a wonderful site. I will never be able to thank Marie and her brother enough. Im just grateful they knew about your site too!
Sincerely,
Janice Jackson
Lilah
"After two weeks of searching for her beloved miniature Schnauzer, Lilahs owner, Laura, had just about given up hope of ever seeing her again. Laura was contacted by Sonya Velez at NPF to see if she wanted to participate in an upcoming promotional in the Tennessean, featuring non-profit organizations. The one-page ad would feature three lost dogs and three lost cats from the website. Laura said yes, and was glad she did! That same night someone from a Schnauzer rescue service contacted Sonya Velez from NPF letting her know that they had Lilah. Lilah was returned to Laura that very evening!"
Dear Nashville Pet Finders,
I'm so happy to see that Lilah is listed as one of your success stories! My sister discovered Lilah outside of her apartment building late one night - she had twigs and icicles in her matted fur. My sister kept her overnight and then asked me to keep her because she was leaving to go out of town. I took Lilah to the vet and had her vaccinated and then called local vets, animal control, etc. in search of missing dog reports. I found nothing and so after about a week I contacted Happy Tales Humane, who gave me the number of a local schnauzer rescue group. A nice member of the rescue group met me to bathe and groom Lilah. A few days later she volunteered to take Lilah. It was that same weekend that I saw Nashville Pet Finders in the newspaper as the charitable organization spotlighted and to my delight, Lilah's picture. Lilah's owner was then contacted by the rescue group and returned. Your ad was the only mention of Lilah I had seen in the paper, so you are responsible for her reunion with her owners.
Sincerely,
Caroline Landers
Wally (as seen on channel 5s Talk of the Town program on June 18, 2001)
"Found the owner of the dog in less than 24 hours. Wally is a fine dog and it was clear he had good owners. Since he was large and we did not have a pen, it was important to get him back to his family soon. Found on a Sunday, we could not have even gotten an ad in the paper until Tuesday. Glad this site was available!"

"Thanks for your website. It is awesome and so helpful! It was so great to have access to it so immediately, and your breakdown of areas as well as the thorough info you asked for really helped these people find their dog!"

Other Happy Endings
Thank you so much. We have found our dog. We pretty much gave up hope that we would find him. I do not know how I got to your website, but I will pass it on to other people around Nashville.

Ironically, Renee Elder found a Wheaton Terrier at the same time she was looking for her own Wheaton Terrier. Renee was contacted after the owners daughter saw their dog listed on the NPF website
"We listed a dog we found in our neighborhood on 7/29. Within 2 days we were contacted by someone from our neighborhood that saw the listing on the NPF website, and had also seen the dog. She had family in town from another state that fell in love with the dog we found. After a week and a half of giving the original owner the chance to reclaim the dog, the people traveled back here to take the dog to its new home four hours away. Thanks to NPF this dog now has a loving home with a family who loves her very much Thank you."
